We make things that are meant to be used.
LUMA is a bespoke industrial manufacturing workshop built on a simple idea: a useful object deserves to be made properly. We help businesses, tradespeople and makers take an idea from a sketch or a sample to a finished piece that does its job for years.
We work across design consultation, precision machining and custom fabrication. We talk through the intended use, the materials and the finish, then develop the brief and quote before anything is cut.
Everything is made in-house: machined components, metal furniture, equipment enclosures and one-off assemblies. The same team that takes your brief does the making, and checks the piece before it leaves.
The workshop is also open to people who want to make things themselves. Hire professional tools for your own project, or join a build night and learn a practical skill with the team beside you.

I started LUMA because too many good ideas were being let down by the making. Parts that almost fitted. Enclosures that rusted within a year. Furniture that wobbled the day it arrived.
We built this workshop around one commitment: everything that leaves it should still be doing its job in ten years. That takes care with materials, honest lead times and a willingness to say when something will not work.
